Mapping Task

The Mapping task transforms data for later use in other tasks. You can use it to consolidate data, simplify its structure, or convert it between different formats.

Settings

• Output data format (JSON, XML etc.) - used to verify and validate that the output is correct.
• Data origin - which step the data comes from.
• Mapping type (path or XSLT) - only when the input type is XML.

Use the Context Data panel to insert the data you need from the input or previous tasks. Static data can also be added by typing it in.

Output

The task's output can be used either by itself, or as the whole object in a later task. To use it in another task, change the Data Origin field in that task's Context Data panel.

Examples

A simple JSON mapping task that combines two input values into a new one:
